Definition

Pornography laws by region vary throughout the world. The production and distribution of pornographic films are both activities that are lawful in many, but by no means all, countries so long as the pornography features performers aged above a certain age, usually eighteen years. Further restrictions are often placed on such material.   -Source: Wikipedia, Pornography laws by region

Pornography is the portrayal of sexual subject matter for the exclusive purpose of sexual arousal. Pornography may be presented in a variety of media, including magazines, animation, writing, film, video, and video games.  The pornography industry has a revenue of $10–$12 billion in the U.S. and $97 billion globally.  Videos involving non-consensual content and cybersex trafficking are hosted on popular pornography sites. -Source: Wikipedia, Pornography

Child pornography is illegal in most jurisdictions of the world. Convictions for possessing child pornography also usually include prison sentences, but those sentences are often converted to probation for first-time offenders.  Some nations (eg Canada and Australia) have laws banning cartoon, anime, manga or written child pornography and others require ISPs (Internet service providers) to monitor internet traffic to detect it.  -Source: Wikipedia, Legality of Child Pornography

Child pornography is pornography that exploits children for sexual stimulation.  It may be produced with the sexual assault of a child (also known as child sexual abuse images) or simulated child pornography.  One reason why pedophiles collect these images is to prepare a child for sexual abuse as part of the process of "child grooming" or enticement leading to entrapment for sexual exploitation such as production of new child pornography or child prostitution.  Children are known to produce child pornography on their own by the coercion of an adult. -Source: Wikipediia, Child Pornography

The Porn Industry and Human Trafficking Reinforce Each Other

"According to many survivors of sex trafficking, there is often no way to know whether a girl in a pornographic video is appearing on camera under coercive, nonconsensual, or threatening circumstances. Viewers can’t know whether they are viewing a child or whether the “performer” is being raped on camera.  Viewers are unable to distinguish a “consensual” video from a nonconsensual video because violence is now standard fare."  Source: National Review
